Coming soon: Rage to Heal audio series

I came to finally realize that if my full humanity is denied within the confines of the normative, then the normative is the problem – not me. And if the university was a space that helped perpetuate and reify the norm, then the university, too, was the problem and not me.

- Dr. Nicole Truesdell

Many academics – especially Black and brown women and queer people – are deeply conditioned to suppress and deny their anger. The Pedagogy Lab’s new audio series “Rage to Heal,” created by anthropologist Dr. Nicole Truesdell, invites listeners to access rage as a potent tool for change. In the seven episodes, Dr. Truesdell shares her story as listeners embark on a self-guided somatic exercise — answering reflective questions, contemplating their relationship with anger, and creating a personal Rage to Heal playlist. This process is particularly beneficial for those wrestling with their position in academia or considering making a change. In the coming months, we’ll share the episodes and the accompanying workbook through our website and social media!
