Support Our Work

The Center for Black, Brown, and Queer Studies (BBQ+) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides free resources and support for educators, researchers and activists from underrepresented communities.

Our mission is to activate, connect, and mobilize communities of educators, researchers, and activists to dismantle the structural barriers that prevent the full participation and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community, in spaces of learning and education.

All of our programming is rooted in our commitment to addressing inequities by raising historical and cultural awareness around questions of race, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, citizenship status, and colonialism.

Contributions of all sizes make a difference. They help us ensure we host our virtual platforms, pay our staff, and continue supporting all of the emerging scholars that will change the world through their research and pedagogy!
