Join us for an Osiris brainstorming session on Sept. 19th

Got an idea for an Osiris volume? Want to bring a pressing issue to the attention of historians of science? Longing to learn more about crafting proposals for collaborative volumes?

Join Ahmed Ragab for an Osiris brainstorming session on September 19th, 2023 at 10:30 am ET. In this hour, we will explore the key components of a successful Osiris proposal; talk about the ways to construct collaborative projects; and experience the joy of learning and working with colleagues. There will be a short 30-minute information session followed by time for individual meetings to discuss your ideas and proposals. At the individual sessions, we will be happy to help you develop your germinal ideas, find other scholars to make up your team, or just be a sounding board.

Please send an email with “Brainstorming Session” in the subject line to osiris@bbqplus.org to receive the Zoom link to the meeting.

The session will prepare you to submit an expression of interest and volume proposal for volume 41 (projected publication year 2026). The deadline to submit a one-page expression of interest is October 15, 2023, and the closing date to submit full volume proposals is December 1, 2023. The Osiris editors are committed to mentoring potential volume editors to take their expressions of interest to a full proposal. For more information, please read the full call for proposals.
