We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2023 Pedagogy Fellowship and the 2023-24 Academic Fellowship! Both fellowships are fully virtual.
Pedagogy Fellowship
Our summer Pedagogy Fellowship takes place June 2–September 1, 2023. As a Pedagogy Fellow, you’ll create two open educational resource (OER) audio shorts based around the theme of Horror, Haunting, and History. You’ll attend weekly virtual check-ins and pedagogy/OER clinics as part of your supportive small cohort. You’ll also return to BBQ+ to present at our annual Pedagogy Conference in March 2024. You’ll receive a summer stipend of $5,000 USD.
Review of applications begins April 2023, and those submitted by May 5, 2023 will receive full consideration. Learn more and apply.
Academic Fellowship
Our Academic Fellowship runs alongside the 2023-24 academic year. As a fellow, you’ll receive mentorship, career development advice, and writing support as you establish yourself either within an academic institution or as an independent educator and researcher. You’ll attend the virtual weekly meeting (Fridays, 12-2pm ET) where you’ll workshop your writing, read theory, and engage with BBQ+’s intellectual community. Depending on funding, you may be awarded a $2,000 USD research stipend.
